Slug in a bottle market

Paisley Tea towel

At the weekend I had the pleasure of setting up shop at the Slug in a bottle market in paisley. It was my first market since starting my business venture and needles to say I was extremely nerves before hand but Donna the organiser had everything covered and everything ran so smoothly. All the volunteers who helped made me feel completely at ease and kept everyone in the loop of what was happening throughout the day. It was honestly the best first market experience I could of asked for not to mention I met some lovely new customers. As the market itself was set in the beautiful Paisley Abbey I felt it only fitting to design a Paisley range including a framed print, tea towel and cushion which everyone seemed to love. Infact my tea towels sold out almost straight away so I have decided to add them to my online shop where you can order them now and get them in time for christmas. The setting of the abbey was beautiful and I was lucky enough to have my stall right next to the radiator so I was super cosy. There was also live music throughout the day to add to the festivities.

All in all it was a great day with such an array of stalls and super talented designers and makers.

If you come across a Slug in the bottle market I urge you to check it out you won’t be disappointed. I also would like to urge all of you to shop local this christmas it really does make a difference to independent businesses and not to mention you get beautifully designed and carefully considered products rather than the mass produced products found on the high street.
